This time, the TOTEM project returns to its roots in the Colombian jungle, specifically in the Putumayo region, where people have decorated objects with resin from the mopa-mopa bush for thousands of years. In this way, the project has involved local artisanal traditions and natural materials to create unique bottles for Dictador rum. The Mopa Mopa 1985 Model A bottles represent a connection between modern art and traditional techniques, while respecting the history and culture of the Colombian people. They are not only bottles of excellent rum, but also works of art that tell the story of the region and its people. Each bottle contains a unique rum from a special selection of Dictador from 1982-1988. The rum is aged in Sherry, Bourbon, and Port casks and contains from 40% to 57% alcohol. Local artists from San Juan de Pasto in southern Colombia have created 15 types of unique designs using the Barniz de Pasto (Pasto Varnish) technique - Putumayo and Narino, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008.
