It was distilled in 1994 and matured in heavily charred American oak barrels for 20 years. A total of 36 barrels were filled, but only the 6 best were blended. The resulting mixture was then returned to the barrels. And since the brand was founded in 1865, only 1,865 bottles were bottled.
